The Osteopathic Medical Foundation was founded to educate and promote osteopathic medicine and the osteopathic philosophy in the Michiana area. In 2007, the OMF board of directors established the Resident Recruitment Grant Program to attract new osteopathic physicians to our area.

The foundation provides a one-time grant of $10,000 to a new physician to assist in the repayment of student loans. An application with cover letter (indicating interest in the program, plans for setting up practice and request for financial assistance) must be submitted for the board's consideration.
